Privacy Policy

LoLdle (also called LoLdle Classic) is a small Discord Activity game operated personally by Ming Lin. This page explains, in plain language, what information the game uses and why. Ming Lin and this Activity are not related to, affiliated with, or endorsed by loldle.net.
What we store to run the game
When you play, the app keeps the minimum it needs to show a shared board and remember progress:
- Discord identity, such as your user ID
- Usernames and display names shown on the channel board
- Your guesses and whether you solved the daily champion
- Channel / server context so the board belongs to the right Discord channel
- Timestamps and counts needed to keep that day’s progress in order
We do not ask for an email address, phone number, or payment details to play.
Who hosts this, and what tools may see data
The Activity is hosted by Ming Lin. To run and debug it, the app may use Discord (to identify you inside the Activity), Convex (to store game state), and error / trace tooling such as OpenTelemetry and Honeycomb. Those services only see what they need to provide hosting, identity, storage, or diagnostics.
We do not sell personal data
Personal data is not sold. It is not used for ads. It is kept so the game can work: shared channel progress, daily boards, and basic reliability.
How long data is kept
Data is kept as long as it is needed to run LoLdle — for example so today’s board still makes sense, or so the Activity can restore a game in progress. If the app is shut down, that game data may be deleted with it.
How to request deletion
If you want your LoLdle data deleted, email minglin.me@gmail.com and say which Discord account it is. Ming will delete the game records that can reasonably be tied to that account, unless they have to be kept briefly to finish a request or keep the service from breaking.
Discord also has its own privacy controls. Removing the Activity or leaving a server does not automatically wipe stored board history until a deletion request is handled.
Children
LoLdle is meant for people who are allowed to use Discord. Discord’s age rules apply. If you believe a child who should not be using Discord has data here, use the contact email above.
Changes
This notice may change if the game changes. The “Last updated” date at the top is the current version. The public URL for this policy is /privacy.
